We would like to request an enhancement to support FIPS 140-3 compliant cryptographic operations in Jaspersoft JasperReports Server (JRS) v9.
Currently, FIPS 140-3 is not supported in Jaspersoft JasperReports Server. We contacted TIBCO Support regarding this requirement and were informed that generating keystores on a non-FIPS system and migrating them to a FIPS-compliant environment may address keystore initialization, but it does not address the cryptographic operations performed by the running JasperReports Server application.
Therefore, this workaround does not meet our requirement for operating JasperReports Server in a FIPS 140-3 compliant environment.
Please provide native support for FIPS 140-3 in JasperReports Server, including:
Support for running JasperReports Server in a FIPS 140-3 compliant environment.
Use of FIPS-approved cryptographic algorithms and providers for runtime cryptographic operations.
Compatibility with FIPS-compliant Java security providers/configurations.
Support for secure keystore initialization and management within the FIPS-compliant environment.
Documentation describing the supported FIPS 140-3 configuration, prerequisites, supported cryptographic providers, and deployment procedure.
Clarification of the supported JRS versions and components once FIPS 140-3 support is available.
