We do have the ability to change the delimiter (see https://community.jaspersoft.com/wiki/changing-field-delimiter-jrs-csv-export) however I know some clients prefer to have both comma as a delimiter as well as another option (like pipe). What I would like to see would be another Exporter added which allows for a dynamic setting that maybe could be modified in the Manage --> Server Settings page somewhere and could be set to whatever character desired (so you would have 2 options, CSV plus whatever delimiter of your choosing).
This. Except I would add that the interface should allow the user to select the delimiter they want because, in our case, we need a forward slash. Delimiters should not be hard coded--we need to be able to select the parameter/delimiter between the file name and the timestamp. Then we could use the FTP option that the interface provides instead of creating a shell script outside of the program.

I agree with comment posted below. Give us the option to choose which type of delimiter we want.
