The JasperReport Server scheduler requires the option to dynamically populate email recipients based on data from a report instead of static email recipients. This feature makes it possible to get by with fewer scheduled reports, as they can be sent in a more targeted manner.

As part of the Report Bursting feature in 8.1, you can achieve this functionality by creating a Report in Jaspersoft Studio and then scheduling it in Jasper Reports Server. See how it works here:
