Jaspersoft Studio - Set Compatility based on the Jasper Server version rather than Jasper Reports Version

Use Case : Change the version of report development , say from 7.5 to 7.1 .

Issue:

When navigated to Windows -> preferences , its not easy to map which Jasper Report version to Jasper server 7.1 . The jasper reports versioning is different.

Suggestions

Instead of displaying Jasper Reports version , mention the Jasper Server version OR show both information in the drop down.

    Yes, I know it's not easy, however we try to guess the version.

    REST api should return the JR version, components versions, available extensions with versions and eventually properties values.

    If we have this, JSS could set version automatically. We can keep this combo only for the older versions.
